Hi, I'm Emily Deanne

As a journalist, I feel it’s my civic duty to share the untold stories that shape our world. With a passion for community reporting, I am always ready to dive deep into the heart of the story.

Currently, I am a Morning Producer in Charlotte, North Carolina looking to transition into a reporter role to better illuminate the voices that need to be heard. In the world of journalism, I love that no two days are the same, yet each day we have the power to make a difference in our neighbors lives.

Resume

I have been fortunate enough to attend High Point University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Performing Arts as well as a Master of Arts in Communication and Business Leadership. While I worked towards my B.A. I learned from world renowned journalists at Fox8 in High Point, WCVB in Boston and at my home state’s news station WMUR.

In my personal time, I enjoy traveling the world, performing with local theater troops and all things Parisian. I am passionate about giving back to my community through serving others. In Charlotte, I fill my free time reading to classrooms, volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Room at The Inn, and teaching Vacation Bible School at Dilworth United Methodist Church. Originally from Hampton, New Hampshire, I remain an active community member through the Miss Hampton Beach Pageant Foundation, the local Girl Scout troops, the Hampton United Methodist Church, and by continuing to promote NH State Parks.

As I continue my career as a journalist, I'm on a mission to uncover the untold stories and give a voice to the voiceless. With a passion for community reporting, I am detail-oriented, organized, and experienced with making daily deadlines. I have a positive and coachable spirit driven by a hunger for truth. My goal? To present the facts that help viewers to think critically and form their own opinions. Armed with multi-platform technical skills and an insatiable curiosity, I strive to inform, challenge, and empower our community.

Let's make an impact together, I look forward to connecting with you!
